Why Donate?

Laborers in poorer parts of the world spend most of their time working. By doing so, they are able to get food on our tables, to get us everyday materials, and to get us services we use often. Unfortunately, this difficult work pays them little. The lack of financial strength, along with other potential circumstances keep their children from getting well-educated leading to a cycle of never-ending poverty in their family. 

The founders here at SLF were able to relate to the experiences of such laborers, having encountered similar situations at some parts of their lives. This led them to establish the Saraswat Learning Foundation (SLF) to educate the children of these hard-working laborers, so they could break out of the cycle of poverty.

As a non-profit NGO, SLF’s end goal is to create a better world through education. Our mission is to do so by funding the education of students who are unable to get education due to their financial positions through the use of several programs. In pursuit of this mission, SLF has helped children receive an education since 1999. Along with this, SLF is trying to improve upon its multiple projects throughout the future.

The overhead cost for SLF is very minimal, used only for activities such as maintaining the website. Many of the activities are paid for by the volunteers themselves, who also aren’t paid any sort of salary. This is because SLF prioritizes getting the donations to the children.

Here at SLF, we strive to improve the world through education by helping underprivileged students receive a proper education. Donations are much appreciated and significantly help many students in poorer parts of the world.
